Q: What is marketing communications?
A: Very simply, marketing communications is the act of sharing information (communicating) to create more business (marketing). These communications may come across as print ads, brochures, direct mail, e-mails, radio ads, television ads... the list goes on.

Q: What is the most important difference between Chadick+Kimball and other creative enterprises?
A: We at C+K have a solid vision of ourselves as communicators, first and foremost. We use our skills in design, photography, illustration, writing, and marketing strategy as tools. Our goal is not to produce pretty pictures, or to win design awards, although we have won many. We get the message across to the audience that needs to hear it, in a style that speaks to them.

Q: Isn't Chadick+Kimball a design firm?
A: Yes, we are a fabulous design firm. We are also a strategic marketing agency. However, we often partner with other strategic marketing agencies or public relations firms that have created a communications strategy and need implementation. We're happy to act as your creative department when the need arises, and if you are in need of strategy, we're glad to provide that as well.

Q: What's too big, what's too small?
A: There's really no size limit to the jobs we do. Over the years, we have done small projects (design a sticker for an annual fundraiser) and we've done very large projects (ad campaigns including radio scripts, regional media buys, and billboard designs). Our clients have been sole proprietors, Fortune 500 marketing departments, and coalitions of stakeholders from multiple not-for-profit organizations.

Q: What if I just want a logo?
A: You might want to think again. If you are in need of a logo, you must have some places to use it. We recommend that you allow us the chance to follow this process through. Letterhead, web design, advertisements — each of these elements provide an opportunity to give more meaning and value to your new logo. We prefer to finish the job, leaving you with a cohesive new look, utilizing your new logo.

Q: How do you charge?
A: Our estimates are generally firm fixed prices, based on hourly rates.

Q: Can Chadick+Kimball help me with my trade show presence?
A: Yes we can. C+K can work with you to develop a booth design, handouts, pre-show invitations and post-show follow up pieces.
